Giifts from a traveling friend

A coworker at J.O.B. #1 went on vacation with his wife and brought me back some Japanese napkins. I'm going to take the hem stitching out and use them in a wall hanging. I'm debating what to do for a design. I was thinking the word "quilt" or "quilter" in Japanese. Or possibly some other iconic Japanese image, if I can come up with one that speaks to me. :)

Very pretty fabrics:

gold:

navy:

and burgundy:

I can't think of a better memento of someone else's trip to a foreign country. :)

Organiized? (or just wiishful thinking?)

In the midst of getting organized, or at least pretending to get organized, I made a decision. I decided that my finished quilt tops needed to be rolled onto empty fabric bolts instead of folded up into my clear plastic bins.

Now that the decision was made, I started bringing bolts home from J.O.B. #2.

Then I started rolling them up. Got quite a few and freed up a large bin for stash fabrics.

I also used some bolts for larger (>3 yard cuts) of fabric, interfacing, etc. Certainly makes it easier to find some things.

Biird's eye view

Playing with photos. Got a whole buncha stuff loaded onto Picassa.

Non-Quilt Sewing projects like pillows and pillow cases and bags.

Quilts - baby quilts, bed quilts, in-between quilts. :)

I think I've got almost every fabric project picture posted. I know I've got a few projects that I haven't taken pictures of yet. As soon as I do, they'll get pushed up.

Eventually I'll get some kind of caption or description on 'em. Well, as much as I can remember anyway.
